Top Ten at 168?

Hey I know I am ranking him on MY estimation here, no need to tell me. But I am right.

I see something out of the ordinary in his punch accuracy and power. It will be Froch vs Kessler for the undisputed 168 title in short order. Mark my words. Those 2 are the class of the division.

I wont rank him at number one as if they fought now Kessler would beat him. Froch would beat anyone else in the division though... assuming Calzaghe has left 168 for good which I think is now a very safe bet.

 

Why wouldn't be beat Kessler if he cannot be hurt and if he has huge KO power for 12 full rounds? Why couldn't he just walk through Kessler's powerful jab and straight right and KO him?:hey

I'm not! If Froch cannot be hurt, he can walk anyone down. If he has this huge one-punch KO power and he can land many of his shots too, as you're assuming, he can KO anyone from 175 down. :deal

If Andrade had had Froch's power, he'd have KOed Kessler. But you assume Froch is faster and more precise than Andrade, and just as strong and relentless and fit, where stamina is concerned! So just imagine what he'd do to Mikkel, if he was as good as you make him out to be!

I didn't watch the Bika - Manfredo fight, but i seems Bika is getting alot of praise for that fight and suddenly is in and a round top 5.

He's not getting praise; he just confirmed his level with that fight. He's Top 10, but a lock inside the Top 10; who says he's top 5?

That's how I see it. The others could slot in there somewhere, but need to prove themselves. Taylor might be above Bute, but I haven't seen his performance against Lacy, unfortunately...so...I don't know for sure.

 

You could make a case for Taylor being above him. But on the back of 1 win at 168 against Lacy, I feel more comfortable with Bute being ranked higher. Lacy himself falls off the list until he gets a notable win again.

 

Lacy has stopped being a Top 10 SMW the moment he lost to Tsypko, imo. His poor performances against faded journeyman Mendoza and his very close fight against show-pony Manfredo confirmed that he wasn't even in the Top 20. In my view there are at least 25 better fighters at SMW than Lacy, right now...and I'm not exaggerating either.:good
