Well his record in the decade is outstanding and 14 (?)successful defences as good as anyone. Cervantes would be a good call but he looked very much second best vs Benitez and outclassed by Locche, 1st time around. I'd say Benitez too just misses out despite two titles (the Leonard loss and a few below-par performances the main reasons).

Maybe but griffith was past his prime,napoloes was too small he was a lightweight at one time,and monzon a big mwt monzons 70s record was 25-0with 19 knockouts durans was 52-1 with 40 knockouts. Im picking duran just on skills and i think he beats out monzon in that department

 

I go for Duran as well with wins over Ernesto Marcel, HiroshI Kobayoshi, Buchanan, DeJesus x 2, Guts ishimatsu, Mamby, Palomino plus some other solid contenders, Fernandez, Thompson, Villa, Viruet(Edwin and Adolfo).
