Who are the top ten boxing prospects, the criteria is that they have to be under 28 and not ranked in the top 5 in their weight division.

ill name some british prospects to look out for becuase i dont really no many boxers abroad who are up and coming

Paul Appleby (really gotta watch this lad fight)

Kevin Mitchell (Strong boxer with high KO ratio)

Martin Lindsay (a young prospect wo is really going well at the moment)

Kell Brook ( hot young talent rapidly improving evrey fight)

Gary Buckland (not a high ko percentage theres something about the way he fights maybe he can go far but hey who knows?)

Darren Johnstone ( a super feather who is really quick and a akward southpaw stance aswell maybe aname to watch in 4 years time)

Stephen Haughian (aint fought anybody worth mentionin yet but really coming into his own with his skills)

Amir Khan (read the other threads for info)

Nathan Cleverly (is the man to follow in the footsteps of Joe Calzaghe - according to trainer Enzo Calzaghe. The 20-year-old was nominated for 2007's prestigious Young Boxer of the Year award, and has won his first 10 fights. And when faced with tough opponents, he has responded with KO wins.)

Danny McIntosh ( hmm another name not sure if he got what it takes to break euro but maybe he got potential for british glory)

    Y. Gamboa, Y. Barthelemy, O. Solis, A. Alexeev, R. Martinez, A. Mares, Z. Baysangurov, AJ Banal, J.P. Hernandez, A. Lee, Peterson bros... just a few names without really going deep into my head... I'm sure I missed a bunch of great talents (Of course R. Gonzalez, A. Khan, A. Berto and K. Kameda are in the top5 already).

Victor Ortiz sticks out as someone i will keep an eye on besides the usuals like Gamboa & Lee.

From Australia its probably worth keeping a watch on these 5 names: Billy Dib, Daniel Geale, Jamie Pittman, Lenny Zappavigna & William Kickett

Good list, I would also add:

Darren Barker - Middleweight. Sound amateur pedigree. Commonwealth gold medalist

Ajose Olusegun - Junior welter. Very fast, tricky southpaw. Avoided like the plague

John Murray - Lightweight. Involved in too many wars at this level, probably ain't going past European

Derry Matthews - Featherweight. Very tall and rangey, one to watch

Akaash Bhatia - Featherweight. Feather fisted, but nice skills
