Actually not possible to compare. Wlod prime was earlier, he is older and was in top earlier. If they use performance vs Usyk, then yeah, looks that Briedis is almost, if not the same level as Usyk and Gassiev is very close to them. Wlod was earlier, like the same era and still not the same. Huck should be ranked higher than Hunter and for sure.
1 Oleksandr Usyk 2 Mairis Breidis 3 Murat Gassiev 4 Marco Huck 5 Denis Lebedev 6 Yoan Pablo Hernandez 7 Krzysztof Glowacki 8 Grigory Drozd 9 Krzysztof Wlodarczyk 10 Tony Bellew
KO'd the boogeyman Chakhkiev that was big big time, Fragomeni twice, Danny Green, Palacios, plus the quantity of lower level wins are there. Only losses to Drozd and Gassiev... I would rate Wlod over Briedis here.
Look how stacked that division was from 2010, easily the best weight in boxing for talent an willingness to fight each other. An all, I mean ALL EE fighters in the top 5... An they get slagged in general. Mental
I felt he has a slighty better resume than Dorticos and the others. Makabu by KO and Masternak are solid wins, plus he won a few early rounds against the GOAT Usyk and made it competitive, when some of the guys above him on these lists couldn't win a round. He was a underrated quality fighter Bellew imo, he peaked at the end of his career from 2015 to 2018.
The most complete cruiser in an era of excellent fighters, arguably beat the consensus no 1 or 2 all time at the weight. High IQ, great chin, very good power. H2h up there with them all ever, an could beat all of them or run them razor close including Holy
I had to think why for me is difficult to think that Wlod is from the same era as Usyk and Briedis, Gassiev. Yeah, Wlod had turned in pro 2000th. 2006-2007th he had fought vs then young 19-0-0 undefeated Cunningham for IBF CW title. They had 2 fights, one had won Wlod and next fight Cunningham, both fights eneded with decision, went full distance, 12 rounds. Usyk then was amateur boxer, Briedis started fight as a pro in 2009th with debut fight vs some HW lad for fight on undercard. 2010-2014 Wlod had WBC belt. Wlod does have wiki page. If I look at all resume from first fight till today, not only 2010 and later then looks that he is above Glowacki by full resume. Title fights numbers, successful title defenses, total number of pro fights.
Good list On H2H / skills I'd probably have Breidis at 2 as I feel he would have beaten Gassiev, and was unfortuante to get Usyk in the semi.
