List of fighters we have little or no surviving footage of today. Not including fighters that fought before film, so no Tom Molyneauxs or Ted Sayers please. 1. Harry Greb (some sparring and shadow boxing only) 2. Charley Burley (only one fight film) 3. Holman Williams (only a few seconds) 4. Maxie Rosenbloom 5. Tiger Flowers 6. Barbados Joe Walcott 7. Coca Kid 8. Joe Choyinski 9. Jack Blackburn 10. Gypsy Joe Harris (some footage from the Griffith fight) Somewhere down the line it'd be useful if there was a comprehensive list of fighters with little or no film to make things easier for the fans.
The Murders Row Jack Dillon Jack Delaney Paul Berlenbach Tiger Flowers Billy Petrolle Fidel Labarba Sammy Mandell Jeff Smith Frankie Genaro Sid Terris Christ, there's hundreds of them!
Can't find much of Ken Overlin either. It's strange that there's more footage of Yarosz available than Greb.
Tommy Ryan is one of the best P4P fighters ever, it's a thread for him. If you use Burley, then why not Fitzsimmons? We don't have much more from him.
he sums up a lot does Lloyd Marshall the EXCELLENCE of Top & Noted fighters, the politics and Bull _hit of Boxing, Corruption and the reality of what a title or champion really means in light of earned or not, propelled and honest contention of opponents and what Top Fighters knew of each other, in other words 'ownership & invested' protection. I was in Sacramento in 1982 and had I known then that Marshall lived there I surely would have went to speak to him. For me he is ONE of the True Greats of All-time... RJJ long before Roy Jones and better than him too.
Midget Wolgast. There were only two films of him, where he looked awesome, and one has been removed for unknown reasons. He's a top 5 Fly H2H and resume wise IMO. Also, Bert Lytell. I wanna see the southpaw monster that terrorised the likes of LaMotta.
Newsboy Brown. Nonpareil Jack Dempsey (I can only dream) Apostolli (would like more ) Venice Borkhorsor (need more) Jimmy Wilde
