in all hoesty did you see any of those fights and who did those fighters beat. in my opinion they are overrated by the older historians as everyone tends to look back at the olden days
bob fitzsimmons and corbett were both great victories, especially corbett imo who was a very intelligent fighter
everyone always says that this fighters were great but where is the video footage apart from wo mins on a faded clip because they are overated and only mentionwed because they were the first fighters in the sport that you can name apart from jack sharkey and john l sullivan
its not ****ing jim corbett's fault that nobody took care of his films, and no they are by no means the first fathers of the sport. corbett was one of the first modern fighters. try reading up on him and fitzsimmons(a MW who hit hard enough to take the HW title), really pretty interesting and you might actually learn something you should credit corbett for his innovations instead of calling him overrated
i mentioned a few names never said i hadnt heard of any of them, of course i have and majority of them are overated.yeah this is a time when you could be a bar room brawler and become heavyweight champion like jack dempsey did years later. that is how dempsey got his rep so mw taking the heavyweight title is good but not as big as they seem. like i said ow can one judge when ther are only 2 minute clips of their fights. they are overated simply because they were some of the first hw boxers simple as
dempsey was not a bar room brawler in the ring, he was the first sophisticated bob and weave swarmer and he is also still the HW with the most 1rkos of all time obviously you're either just really really uninformed, or not willing to give them credit for their innovations and careers, or just trolling so this is kind of stupid like i said, try reading up on the styles, champions, and evolution of boxing from the institution of queensberry rules to the 50's. cox's corner is a good place to start(google that ****) duly noted
lukeo im 12 actually now ****off i still own your ass in the threads you start and the ones you post in plus you got an unhealthy obsession with floyd, id reccomend seeing your doctor
The HW top ten alone ends all talk of Floyd or Pacq as top ten ATG. If you do a list of top twenty in all weight classes you would soon find that neither of them belong in the top ten of their current weight classes.Although,Floyds time at 130 ranks him very highly in that weight class.Still, they are both top 100 and at the ass end of that.
