This is an achievements list. Not head to head. Then they'll be put in a tournament. Like #1 vs #2, #3 vs #4, etc. I hope this isn't to complicated . List your top ten heavyweights then match them against each other to see who comes out on top.

    1. Muhammad Ali

    2. Joe Louis

    3. Sonny Liston

    4. Rocky Marciano

    5. George Foreman

    6. Joe Frazier

    7. Larry Holmes

    8. Jack Dempsey

    9. Jack Johnson

    10. Evander Holyfield

    Round 1

    Ali VS Louis: Ali

    Liston VS Marciano: Liston

Frazier VS Foreman: I don't care how unpopular this is, I still pick Frazier.

    Holmes VS Dempsey: Dempsey

    Johnson VS Holyfield: Johnson.

    Round 2

    Johnson receives a bye.

    Ali VS Liston: Ali

Frazier vs Dempsey: Hard one but I'm going with Dempsey via controversial split decision.

    Round Three

    Johnson VS Dempsey: Dempsey

Ali VS Dempsey: I did not think Dempsey was gonna make it this far. But Ali wins it.

You guys make your own top ten list. And pit them against one another head to head in a tournament.

Ali VS Louis: Louis (the argument for Ali being greater, rests too heavily on his opponents beating him).

Liston VS Marciano: Marciano by a significant margin.

Frazier VS Foreman: Foreman edges it based on his second career, otherwise it is Frazier.

Holmes VS Dempsey: Tough one, but I will go with Dempsey by a slim margin.

Johnson VS Holyfield: Johnson, again on a debatable point of argument.

Achievement list, no how I rank them normally but judging on who achieved the most I see them like this:

    Louis
    Ali
    Lewis
    Tyson
    Holmes
    Wladimir
    Dempsey
    Johnson
    Foreman
    Marciano

    Round 1:

Louis v Ali: Ali on points
Lewis v Tyson: Lewis by ko
Holmes v Wladimir: Holmes by ko
Dempsey v Johnson: Dempsey on points
Foreman v Marciano: Foreman by ko

    Round 2:

Ali v Lewis: Ali by ko
Holmes v Dempsey: Holmes on points
    Foreman: bye

    Round 3:
Ali v Holmes: Ali on points
    Foreman: bye

    Round 4:
Ali v Foreman: Ali by stoppage

No. You misunderstand me. I want you guys to make your own top ten heavyweight list based on achievements then pit them against one another in a head to head tournament.

Why is Tyson ranked above greats such as Holmes, Dempsey, Johnson, Foreman, and Marciano? Tyson is definitely not a top five heavyweight. I don't even consider him in the top ten. Also, why do you have Tyson, and Wlad but not Liston?

You said to rank on achievement.

Tyson unified a division, and came back from prison to destroy 2 title holders.

Liston didn't achieve that much because he only managed one title defence.

On the sole criteria of achievement I struggle to justify a high ranking of Liston tbh.

That's funny dude. I'm sure you realise this, but Round 2  I'll put my 10 but only pit my top 8 against each other.

    1. Louis
    2. Ali
    3. Marciano
    4. Lewis
    5. Johnson
    6. Foreman
    7. Frazier
    8. Holmes
    9. Holyfield
    10. Tyson

    Round one
Louis vs Ali - I guess there is no right or wrong answer here' but I like Louis
    Marciano vs Lewis - Lewis
    Johnson vs Foreman - Foreman
    Frazier vs Holmes - Frazier

    Round two
    Louis vs Lewis - Lewis
    Foreman vs Frazier - Foreman

    Ali vs Marciano - Ali
    Johnson vs Holmes - Holmes

    Round three
    Lewis vs Foreman - Foreman

    Louis vs Frazier - Louis

    Ali vs Holmes - Ali

Marciano vs Johnson - Marciano although I'm quite split on this one

In fact a lot of them are tough, and I'm as disappointed at my self as anybody else could be that Foreman came out on top. Hopefully I don't get grilled for this one.

But you won't mention why he's better than the other fighters?

Liston dominated his era. He destroyed the champion, the first man to ever regain the title in one round. Twice! He had the greatest jab off all time.

"Sonny Liston was thought to be as unbeatable as Marciano. Many boxing historians believe if Marciano had stayed around to fight him, that would have been his first loss of his career. If Muhammad Ali hadn't beat Liston, nobody at the time was going to do it." Bleacher report.

Holyfield won the title four times. He was the only man to beat Rid**** Bowe. He beat George Foreman. He beat Mike Tyson. He drew against Lewis. He also got robbed against him in their second fight.

Marciano retired undefeated and beat many ATGs such as Walcott, Moore, and arguably the greatest heavyweight of all time in Joe Louis. He literally had his nose split in half and won the fight. "Rocky Marciano is the only unbeaten and untied boxing champion in history. 49-0 is his legacy. Of his 49 wins 43 came by way of knockout. His knockout percentage of 87.75 is the highest among all heavyweight champions. He is 7-0 in title fights. On his accomplishments alone he deserves consideration for a spot among the ten best heavyweights ever. " Coxscorner.

There's really no comparison with Foreman. Foreman made a comeback when he was old as ****. Foreman is the only man to regain the title twenty years after he lost it. He's the oldest champion in history. He anhillated Joe Frazier twice. Nobody else could do that. He also brutalized Ken Norton. He gave a prime Holyfield hell and went the distance with him, something Tyson couldn't even do with an old Holyfield in two tries. :think

Holmes went 48-0. (Though if ones being honest, it should be 50-0) He beat Muhammad Ali, also. He had, quite possibly the greatest jab in heavyweight history. He knocked out Earnie Shavers. Something Muhammad Ali couldn't even do. He also had much more heart than Tyson (actually that goes for everyone on this list) He also came back in the 90s and at the age of 42 beat the undefeated Ray Mercer. Along with Foreman, He also troubled and went the distance with a prime Holyfield.

Frazier beat a very game Ali that perhaps nobody else would've beaten that night, in almost undoubtedly the biggest and greatest fight of all time, and gave him hell in two other fights. In their last fight, he nearly killed Ali. Frazier also had a much better resume.

Wow! You even point out the fact that he only had one title defense. You won't however, mention who he lost his title to. Don't worry, I'll save you the trouble. :good He lost it to the greatest of all time in Muhammad Ali. Their is no shame in that. Especially considering who Tyson was dethroned by. :yep

You said not to rank on who was better. You said to rank on achievement.

I assumed you knew Liston fought and lost to Ali in his second title defence.

Again you said rank on achievement. Liston did not achieve as much as the men I listed before him.

You didn't want resume, you didn't want h2h, you didn't want skill level, you said a top 10 on achievement. I don't class a title reign lasting one fight as a a better achievement than you do obviously.

I'm going to do my top sixteen, and i'm going to do it with proper seedings :tong

    (1) Muhammad Ali UD15 Sam Langford (16)
    (2) Joe Louis KO6 Wlad Klitschko (15)
    (3) Rocky Marciano UD 15 Jim Jeffries (14)
    (4) Lennox Lewis KO3 Jack Dempsey (13)
    (5) Joe Frazier UD15 Harry Wills (12)
    (6) George Foreman LKO 12 Evander Holfyield (11)
    (7) Larry Holmes LKO 7 Mike Tyson (10)
    (8) Sonny Liston UD15 Jack Johnson (9)

Just the one upset, the stunning stoppage of Foreman by Holyfield, the bookies make a killing!

    (1) Muhammad Ali TKO 12 Sonny Lison (8)
    (2) Joe Louis KO2 Mike Tyson (10)
    (3) Rocky Marciano L UD15 Evander Holyfield (11)
    (4) Lennox Lewis KO 5 Joe Frazier (5)

The Detroit Shootout between Louis and Tyson is the tie of the round, Louis getting off the deck three times to dust a stunned Mike Tyson. Holyfield continues to upset the odds and one of the tournament's most careful boxers, Lennox Lewis keeps scoring brutal spectacular knockouts. Will the fun never stop?

    (1) Muhammad Ali SD15 Lennox Lewis (4)
    (2) Joe Louis TKO 13 Evander Holyfield (11)

Ali picks up a contentious decision against Lewis, Louis scores an impossible knockout 115-112 down on the cards going into the thirteenth.

Which sets up the dream final...

    (1) Muhammad Ali UD15 Joe Louis (2)

...which turns out to be a surprisingly boring decision won on all cards, some close some not, but the Louisville Lip, now rechristened once and for all "The Greatest."
