Here's what I came up with: 1. Benny Leonard 2. Barney Ross 3. Abe Attell 4. Jack 'Kid' Berg 5. Louis 'Kid' Kaplan 6. Maxie Rosenbloom 7. Benny Bass 8. Ted 'Kid' Lewis 9. Newsboy Brown 10. Pedro Montanez Anyone else?
Pretty good list on the outskirts of the top 10 there were so many great ones Levensky, Al"Bummy Davis(KO'd Bob Mongomery in 1), Schoolboy Bernie Friedken( drew with 3 world Champs), Harold Green, Artie Levine,Daniel mendoza,Saol Mamby,Ben Jeby,Battling Levensky,Georgie Abrams,Benny Bass,Bob Olin,Mushy Callahan,Joe Choynski,Jackie Fields,Phil *********,Al Singer,Sid Terris,Soldier Bartfield,Lew Farber,Charley Goldman
Montanez is a fighter I've been getting into over the last few months - turns out he was more than just one of Armstrong's best wins. He actually had a very good record himself as you probably know, and little is known of him by most. He could be a top twenty lightweight. All I know of his background is that he was a Jewish Puerto Rican which must be unusual.
