They call be Frank at the hospital I guess rating a fighter who never lost a bout at 147lbs beating de la Hoya on the way, is madness.
At least you'll admit it. Some guys do the same thing and then try to defend it to the hilt with "Facts".
1. SRR 2. Greb 3. Monzon 4. Hagler 5. Hopkins 6. Fitz 7. Steele 8. Burley 9. M. Gibbons 10. Ketchel I could see any fighter on this list being swapped up or down a spot, but these would be the 10 fighters most deserving of inclusion & in the approximate order IMO.
1. Greb 2. Monzon 3. Golovkin 4. Hagler 5. Robinson 6. Hopkins 7. Mike Gibbons 8. Steele 9. NP Demspey 10. Toney I know I'll get flack for the GGG pick but I love the guy, he was incredibly dominant at the weight, and wins over Canelo and Jacobs are as good as anything else any other top 10 pick could boast about.
Which names on Dempsey's resume indicate he deserves to be on a top ten list here? Golovkin never beat Alvarez.
None in particular, I just like the dominance of his reign. The wins over Fulijames, LaBlanche, and McCarthy were all decent though. I could just as easily switch in Tommy Ryan or Ketchel or Burley or Apostoli or Yarosz. I probably will switch out some of these names into my top 10 if my mood changes honestly.
If the first two fights had taken place in the newspaper decision era they would be wins on GGG's record because the overwhelming majority at ringside scored both fights for Golovkin. Only counting official wins in the most corrupt sport ever is a fool's errand. Whitaker never beat Chavez, Lara never beat Williams, Hearns never beat SRL, DLH never beat Tito, Fenech never beat Nelson, Harada never beat Famechon, Schultz never beat Foreman, and Kovalev never beat Ward. If a fighter outpointed another like Golovkin very clearly did in the first fight (and in the second but I've seen many argue it was closer or could have been a draw, I thought GGG won pretty clearly even though I really like Canelo) then does not get the decision then the vast majority will count it as a win because irrespective of the three blind mice at ringside, one fighter got the result in the ring even if they didn't get it on their record.
Hi Guys. Top ten will be difficult for me, so will go with top four, 1/ Greb 2/ Robinson 3/ Hagler 4/ Monzon, not sure why anybody hasn't got there's similar, you can swop 3 and 4 possible, after them it's all subjective for me, Hopkins, Steele, Burley, Fitz, as you like it. stay safe guys.
1. Greb 2. Hagler 3. Monzon 4. Robinson 5. Ketchel 6. LaMotta 7. Fitzsimmons 8. Hopkins 9. Mike Gibbons 10. Tommy Ryan
Curious as to why you have LaMotta rated so highly. What impresses you about his resume? I've always thought it was pretty barren but I'd like to see another perspective.
