Based solely on fights contested at MW, allowing a few lbs over for none title fights: 1. Greb 2. Monzon 3. Hagler 4. SRR 5. Hopkins 6. M Gibbons 7. Ketchel 8. Steele 9. Ryan 10. Burley Incidentally, my #11, Holman Williams is probably the strongest of my divisional #11's and if my list was based purely on win resume, he'd be top 5 at MW.
I don't have any lists, but will occasionally participate in these types of threads. This list here is just about where mine would be, almost exactly probably. I like seeing Ryan in there, despite the fact that he fought back when we lived in caves

Can't really criticize this list but here's mine, just a bit different... 1. Greb 2. Monzon 3. Hagler 4. SRR 5. Hopkins 6. Steele 7. Burley 8. Mike Gibbons 9. GGG 10. Ketchel
Then you are arbitrarily changing fighters records to suit your own opinion. An opinion based on watching a fight onTV?
And you're arbitrarily going against what everybody else saw for the sake of the verdict of three blind mice who don't know how to score jack **** in the face of the overwhelming majority who saw Golovkin handily outpoint Canelo. In the sport of boxing why would you not base your opinion on a boxing match? Everybody and their momma knows Golovkin deserved the win.
No,I'm not I scored both fights for GGG. That's beside the point. As many thought Canelo won as GGG and most of the Press thought a draw for their 1 st fight was correct. Associated Press: 114-114 *******.com: 114-114 If you follow your logic to its conclusion, Holmes is still the Champion. Further back Schmeling didn't lose to Sharkey.and hundreds of other results are nullified. You talk about judging fights by watching TV I've been at dozens of fights watching from ringside ,come home and formed a different impression of some of them from watching the fight onTV. You've put a man in your top ten at middleweight who only had 2 official middleweight title fights, for both of which he weight 147 1/2lbs! What do you base that pick on, all the footage you've seen of him and his opposition? I say Tony Zale,Jake Lamotta,Dick Tiger,Billy Papke, and Joey Giardello would have murdered him and none of them make your ten! So what makes your position on this particular point right?
The majority of reporters, analysts, pros, and fans still had GGG winning both fights. Only 2/51 sources had Canelo winning the second fight. If we both think GGG won both fights then why are we arguing over whether he beat Canelo or not? Why not just sing kumbaya and hold hands? https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/ggg-canelo-media-scorecards-compubox.593770/page-2 This content is protected
I agree,,,this got me to thinking. What exactly was Golovkin's best win? Derevyanchenko? a fight he arguably lost. Lemieux Kell Brook Draw with Canelo. and I thought GGG won that as well but it is what it is,,, Marco Antonio Rubio.. Jacobs? Not a deep resume , certainly not one to get you into the top 10 of all time
