This is a list in progress including the ten boxers who achieved the most stoppages (besides DQs, which are only used as tiebreaks) in title fights. Please tell me anybody who could belong on this list. I have checked many notable punchers and long reigning champs, but feel I am maybe missing some. Only primary title fights are included, no secondary titles.

I believe both Naoya Inoue (16) and Dariusz Michalczewski (20) should be in there.

Inoue is 14 in primary title fights. But yeah, Dariusz Michalczewski makes it with 20, thank you!

Edit: Unfortunately The Tiger was removed after further inspection. He made most of his KOs defending the WBO title in the 1990s, before it was recognized as a major title.

This list shows either of these 3 things:

    • These champions were absolutely superior to their challengers
    • They fought cherry picked opponents in title fights
    • Mixture of above 2

So, in order to make this list more meaningful, we need 1 more statistics: ranking of their opponents.

14 is correct. Inoue has fought 18 fights from his first world title(TKO Adrien Hernandez). Two of those fights weren't KOs(Carmona, Donaire), and two weren't for a major title(McDonell, Payano, both for the WBA Regular). So 14 KOs in major title fights

Archie Moore would have won this contest hands down...if they hadn't made him wait until he was 39 for attempt a belt.

Floyd Mayweather had just ONE stoppage win in the last TEN title fights - a sucker punch to Ortiz!

Floyd was pathetic in multiple ways.

Most stoppage wins via no mas

    No mas stoppages>>JTFO KOs>>KOs

What about a fighter scoring back-to-back KOs, jumping up in weight and scoring a HL reel KO over the much bigger reigning champion in their first fight at the weight then going on x 4 no mas streak in their next four fights at the weight before moving up again in weight and scoring another one punch KO over the much bigger reigning champ at that weight?
