I count 10 for major belts he has some filler fights inbetween. I've not counted minor titles outside big 4 or Euro. British etc. Joe Calzaghe 11 Lennox Lewis 12
I added a feature for an excuse to bump. Now * signifies the active fighter with the most active KOs. Of course the list will be updated as more fighters reach the list. (Looking at you Inoue)
I added a legend and a notifier if they KOd the most people in a division's history. I will add each fighter's primary division (by title fight KOs) later today.
There goes Dariusz. I remember attending the Antontio Tarver-Reggie Johnson fight. It was listed as an IBF eliminator but one guy was also the #2 WBO contender. The other, I believe, was the WBO #4 contender, so it was essentially a WBO eliminator as well. Excellent fight. Johnson floored Tarver. Tarver eaked out a decision. On the undercard, local pug Joey DeGrandis fought a nobody in a 4-rounder and won a sloppy decision. Three months later, Dariusz defends against DeGrandis and he never fought Tarver or Johnson. That was kind of typical for him much of the time.
One thing I seem to have to disqualify Dariusz for is that the WBO title wasn't a major title until 1999 (at the earliest, some people push it to 2002, 2004 or 2007). *Edit: I decided to disqualify him, for the sake of proper historical view.
