The supposedly better opponent in EVERY single sporting event IS THE FAVORITE.

fyi: they are favored because they're the best at what they do. it's head scratching how some fools punish fighters for simply being better than the rest.

Only reason Why Canelo isn't as favored against other fighters when compared to GGG is because people consider Golokvin to be better than Canelo. As it stands in terms of names beaten, Canelo wins. But when you factor in size I think Golokvin edges it. Using other fighters to illustrate this point, both Golovkin and Spence have a win over Brook. But Spence's win is better because they were more evenly matched weight-wise.

Debatable. Canelo got Floyd to react to feints. Canelo made Floyd use more aspects of defense. Canelo made Floyd miss more than Maidana did. Vs Maidana, Floyd stood there toe-to-toe and knew he could just stand there and block Maidana's punches. Some got through, and Maidana got more offense in on Floyd, had a few rallies with Floyd on the ropes, etc. But Floyd approached the Maidana fight completely differently than the Canelo fight. Maidana is a much more basic fighter than Canelo. Slower hands, basic defense, etc. Floyd knew Maidana was an easier fight so didn't take it as seriously. He didn't have to use as much head movement vs Maidana. So yeah sure Maidana had more offensive success, but only because of how Floyd decided to fight Maidana.

Where was I defending 114-114? It takes a really serious fanboy of a fighter to argue that all 3 judges had a fight "too close". It's highly uncommon to do so and representative of a larger issue.
