I'm not even going to dignify that with an answer. Smarten up.

Changed my mind. Very quickly, Erik Morales was past his prime by the time he was stopped. It doesn't take a genius to work that out when you have a side by side comparison of Morales in 2000 and the one in 2005-06. He'd been through a stupid amount of wars. Barrera 1 & 3, In Jin Chi, Chavez, Hernandez, and of course, the first Manny Pacquiao fight. Barrera, he was knocked out early on, and then he came back to establish himself as a three weight world champion, the best 126lbs of the last decade, and holds wins over great unbeaten primed fighters. Leaving Barrera off this list is obscene. I don't even think Divac or Butcher would do it.

 

Have no real arguments with this one. When you consider that the majority feel Castillo holds a win over your number three, and of course the Castillo and Casamayor victories- Jose had a good reign at Lightweight, probably the best Lightweight of the decade.

No Chris Byrd and Chad Dawson. Now that's good news. :good

 

I scored the first Castillo-Mayweather fight 115-113 for JLC. I scored the second 117-113 Mayweather. Beating my number 3 once and running him relatively close in the second (and losing by only 2 points over 24 rounds) is one of the main reasons JLC nicks that last spot.

 

did barerra or morales ever outpoint or even last the distance with a man 7" taller than themselves and some 20-27lbs heavier than themselves and being constantly severely undersized ? norris and byrd did. barerra and morales were good against people their own size.

Mayweather is a legit 5 weight world champion & in 40 fights thru those 5 weights has won convincingly in 38/39 of those fights displaying the best technical boxing talent since Pernell Whitaker/Julio cesar Chavez, he regularly connects at roughly 60% of his punches & rarely gets hit clean.
He is simply a more complete & better boxer than Hopkins, Hops has fought MORE good fighters - tho FMJ has fought some too despite what gets thrown at him on ESB - but Hopkins has lost to at least half of those good fighters, showing that he has a weakness for guys with speed that can box well, Mayweather has shown no weakness yet other than retiring for 2 yrs in his prime... but he`s back now... & if he doesnt fight the fights that we (the fans) want ?... I`ll help you hunt him down & we can both **** on his face because thats what he`ll deserve, time will tell tho, either way he is still ahead of Hopkins IMO.
