Top three heavyweight finishers of all time

Tough to split this group up into just 3--but I'd definitely have Louis, Foreman, Tyson, Liston, and Frazier as the best 5 HW finishers of all-time.

The disrepect on Lennox Lewis, trying to think of opponents he didn't put away when hurt. Maybe just Holyfield and Tucker.

His finishing is underrated but he is a bit too economical for me to go number 1 say.

 

Brittle hands and second career lacklustre performances/fight night condition hurt him massively here.

One thing about Ali though, he had a knack of catching otherwise really good chins - Foreman and Bonavena, for example.

The thread says finishers , not knockout artists. What are is top 3 finishing exampls?
Had Chambers hurt early , couldn't finnish until Chmaber was exhausted and dead on his feet 10 seconds away from the final bell.
Stunned Haye. Couldn't even get a drop never mind a knockout.
Dropped Povetkin and hurt him numerous times. Couldn't get the finish.
When AJ hurt Povetkin he ended him quickly and impressively.
To be a top quality finisher you need to have a killer instinct. Wlad had none.

 

As might I but with a heavy caveat - Dempsey was allowed to stand over men and hit them as they were rising - in some ways, this negatively impacts our ability to assess him in the same way that we might assess Foreman, especially when it might appear on film, at least, that he was fighting either men even naturally smaller than himself or larger, somewhat crude operators.

Had we clearer fight footage, we might rate Dempsey even higher but alas, opponent skillset, drawing the colour line and a few other things makes it hard to assess without having to bump scores down for inconveniences that you might not need to do so with other great HW punchers/finishers.
