You can find at least 10 fighters who recently (in last 2-3 years)
were either achieving more than him or they proved to be more
impressive in beating competition at similar level, yet alone
between 135-160: PAC, FLoyd, Mosley, Marquez, they all
should be way ahead of Williams. In the same limit we can debate about
the proper spot between Williams, Pavlik, Cotto, and even Valero.
That would warrant the maximum spot for Paul not higher than 7-8

... if Paul is #3 then where is Martinez and where is Pavlik in that perspective?

Well i guess we will see after Froch dismantles Kessler

But then you will say "Kessler just been beat by Ward anyway so that dont count"

+ I said PW deserves to be in top 10 but 3? that's crazy

    Paul Williams is so overrated.

He got a gift in his last fight. It also doesnt sound like he wants the rematch and got enough of a scare to go down to a lower weight class.
    Ha p4p my ass

How is Pavlik anywhere close to Williams?????

A middleweight fighting Espino, Lockett, and whoever else, and getting his ass kicked by a 70-yearold man???????? Should be near a WW who has won the last 5 fights over three years? 1 at WW, 1 at JMW, and 3 at MW?

What has Mosely done over the past two years except duck Williams and beat Margo who was softened up by Cotto.

    Cotto???? Next question.

Marquez is very debatable... But who else has actually acomplished that over the past two years???

I won't say that but the writers who come up with the list may say that!!

Would it be unfair to say that Kessler got beat and then shows a sense of vunerability?

I guess you can debate PW ranking but if you look at his most recent competition he deserves a high ranking!!!

Martinez was offered a rematch. And they were actually negotiating it until Pav (who was feeling left out) wanted some of the JMW action and decided to offer up his MW belts to Martinez.

You have seen or heard nothing to suggest that paul is scared of a rematch. Nothing. Only the conjecture of a bunch of Pavlik hillbillys.

Why would you even mention Pavlik with his most recent body of work?!?!!!:-(

As you see Cotto is know where what he used to be since the Margo fight!!!

    :rofl:rofl

Pav may be in negotiating with fight Andre Berto next!!

I've never seen a "champion" in any division digress the way KP is doing!!

this is an alright list. i agree with most of the guys on it, however the order is pretty messed up in some spots. like everyone else is saying, williams and bhop are both way too high.

hand or no hand... Pav has the worst MW reign in history. He hasn't beaten a decent MW at MW since he got the belt. None. And he gets mentioned with Williams in P4P???

    And Cotto???????

Martinez should be closer, but not higher. Paul is a lighter guy who beat him. Period.

Who else should be up there? Marquez moved up and lost. He should be considered, but not higher.

I think one that stands out to me would be:

    Chad Dawson - Adamek's conqurer, Jhonson x2, Tarver x2

It may just be me but i think Dawson deserves to be higher than PW

28 professional and almost (totally?) entirely US-based journalists. It's hardly suprising that this isn't a representative list at all.
