TOPRANK: PAC vs Clottey March 13, 2010

Clottey is gonna beat Pac. This fight is ALL wrong for Pac, I'm very surprised they would match these two up. I was just thinking today that Clottey was one of the guys that could beat Pac.

No dude I'm being serious. Clottey is all wrong for pacman. he is way too durable, tough and has very fast hands. he's also bigger then Cotto was...he's a huge welterweight. I had him beating Cotto tbh.

 

When you word it like that then yes I am.

Clottey to be honest stylewise is one of the easiest fights that have been mentioned for Pac. He has a very low output, has to have his feet set to punch, isnt the fastest fighter in the world. Clottey is big and strong and has a great chin, but that hasnt won him any of his big fights.

Plus to sound like a ******* for a second...He lost to Baldomir who lost to Floyd, and Cotto who lost to Pac, no need for this fight:yep

I completely agree with you. I give Manny props for taking this fight. I do think he is suspect and may definitely be hiding something and blame HIM for not fighting floyd but this was a decent alternative. I think they realized that they had to take on a REAL welterweight after this circus.

This now puts Floyd on the spot to fight somebody legit.

Although Clottey is a live opponent, Manny would easily beat Clottey. Manny's workrate is second to none and will just tally up points every round while Clottey remains behind his guard. Clottey isn't a big enough puncher to stop Manny..Wide UD for Pacquiao

Arum has to know this is a terrible styles matchup for Pac.
This will probably be the best defensive fighter PAc has ever faced and the biggest by far. I hope there is no catchweight at all.

 

Clottey's defense is to not get knocked out...superior defense is not getting hit at all...Pacquiao will easily score points on Clottey's defense..
