I'm not dissing Clottey he's a much better option than Foreman or Paulie. He will come to fight but will fade and not be active enough to do any real damage.

true. but pac would get respect from boxing fans by taking this as a substitute fight if floyd-pac completely falls through in march 19. and it would be much better if floyd-pac happened and you would see someone like clottey in the the succession of cotto and mayweather fights.

    imagine cotto-clottey-floyd. what a line-up.

Man I have been saying this all over. I don't see why people cant see it. It is so damn obvious.

Arum could give a damn who wins. He would just market the winner. He won't fight FMJ because if his guy loses he holds no cards.

Agree to a point, but it will help his legacy (if he wins). Pac is known to go for the tough challenges and this confirms that (if the fight happens). Even if he loses, which could defo happen. It won't damage him too much, as he is fighting a top fighter, someone has to lose.

A loss isn't the be it an end all. If all fans felt like that I bet we'd see better match ups more often.

Bradley is the one fighter Pacquiao should never fight. Bradley would beat Pacquiao. Unlike Mayweather Bradley can take a punch.

And CLottey will be gratefull enough that he probably won't make any demands that Pac and Arum would be uncomfortable with!

True, but the cotto/margo, cotto/clottey, cotto/PAC were all great matchups. With top fighters, fighting other top fighters. If it's a gd match up then don't care who promotes them, as a fan surely we wanna see good fights.

screw this fight, pbf proposing a 14day cut off date, more than fair IMO. Pac needs to fight Floyd!

He already has DLH-Hatton-Cotto-Floyd, he doesnt need to improve the lineup. The fight needs to happen now. I dont think I'll ever want a boxing match to happen as badly as this one.

I think that is fair too...but I also think 24 days is more than fair as well. But who cares.....these two will end up fighting at some point. IF both continue to win that is. They may be building up this fight even more and expecting an even larger payday b/c of these negotiation failures.

This is chess not checkers! LMAO!

On the front it seems like that makes sense, but Arum is looking long term. If Mayweather wins against Pac then what? WW is the hottest division around. Who does he have left? Cotto? Marg? Clottey? Pac?

The only marketable guy at WW will be Clottey. Clottey won't hold the cards against ANY top welter. Arum knows this. Unless... He kicks Manny's ass. Then he magically becomes the man.

People need to open their eyes. Arum is an old school boxing promoter. He is like the enemy you keep close. Pac best not trust him.

would have been perfect if this fight is a go. unfortunately ego's could not get this fight signed-up. i could wait for this fight to happen late this year though. but yes you're right. clottey is too risky and might derail this mega-fight. but we all know that pac is all about risk and we could not blame him if he takes this kind of fight.

I agree. Like I said, I am fine with the man matching his guys up. What I don't like is him matching his guys up for his personal enrichment then tossing the blame on Mayweather.

You want to offer 8 mil for a fight? Cool. Don't say your guy was ducked when you didn't have a belt and added in that your money guy would pay less. Don't go say your money guy is green then say Mayweather is ducking him. Don't get in the press violating gag orders saying that a guy is making outrageous demands and then have the mediator and the guy lay the smack down on you.

I am just surprised everyone can't see through this BS!-(
