Clottey is coming off of two consecutive losses there's no way a fight with PBF-Clottey would ever happen so it's not even worth discussing. Ask me how many buys would PBF-Cotto do a much more realistic alternative.
Well i could be wrong but im gonna trust my gut feeling Floyd will leave it to the last minute, maybe even go over it by an hour then sign. lets face it, if hes a day late theres no way arum will have arranged anything else. surely?
What's interesting to me is that Arum isn't and never really was obeying the self-imposed gag order, but Floyd IS. Seems that if terms hadn't been agreed he would come out and say so and like Pimp C says state that Pac/Arum have only agreed to old terms, not the new ones. But he's not. He's keeping tight lipped. Now, the only two reasons I can think of in that regard are A, he doesn't want the fight and is keeping his mouth shut so as not to dig himself into a hole revealing that he doesn't want it, or B, he's playing along with Arum and it has already been decided and this is all extra drama and publicity for the fight. But which one?
i wish pac would just retire if this fight won't happen. don't let arum always dictate you. after all he has already proven himself many times and the last fight i want to see him with is with floyd, win or lose though i don't mind a trilogy. of course i also won't blame pac if he fights cotto or margo next if he needed more money to set himself up for the rest of his life after boxing.
Hatton and De La Hoya were coming off losses and poor performances so would you say it's fair to use the argument that Mayweather is a bigger draw because he made more against those two? The Marquez fight is before Pacquiao was a star too, so that has to be discounted.
You didn't follow. Even if PBF can make more money than Pac can fighting other opponents, he can't make half as much money fighting those opponents than he can fighting Pac. Do you follow? How much money is made is a joint fucntion of the two fighters. In the case of Floyd and Pac, puttng them together generates much more money than splittingthem apart. It's nonlinear, it's multiplicative, it's more than the sum of its parts. I don't know how else to put it.
It's a dumb question on a fight that makes no sense. So I refuse to address it. If you want to ask me how many buys would a PBF-Cotto or PBF-Martinez or PBF-Berto would do fine.
