That is the fifth straight loss for Manswell, and eighth in eleven bouts. Of those eight career losses he was dropped at least once in all but one. For a big slow guy whose only strategy is to swap big punches hoping to score a knockout, his chin seems woefully inadequate to succeed in the international talent pool. (all but a couple of his victories coming at home...including all the ones by KO...) I don't think we need to see him in with any more big or even moderately recognizable names anymore.
:yep I'm pretty sure only Melson vs. Thompson benefited the spinal cord injury research foundation...and only Rainmaker's portion of the purse - not the entire card. DiBella might subsidize a bit, perhaps matching his man's contributions (Lou strikes me as the sort who loves a bit of warm-and-fuzzy PR hoopla) - but this show was co-promoted by 50 Cent and I just can't see Mr. "Get Rich or Die Trying" ponying up or insisting any of his charges fall in and do the same as Boyd. "I don't know what you heard about me - but a ***** can't get a dollar outta me...I don't care if that ***** can't walk. :bart"
BTW - those with GoFightLive.tv accounts - this card will be available free in their On Demand video library (probably starting tomorrow). They wound up not charging tonight for the live stream because of low bandwidth. :conf That seems a fair enough trade to me. I'll take low quality and save the nine bucks. It will also be aired on 24-hour tape delay on SNY network.
