Haye would knockout Adamek in whatever round he chooses. Haye holds a huge gap in skill, speed, power, athleticism between the two fighters.

Yet Adamek has more skill, speed, power, and athleticism than Carl Thompson.

    Hmm..it makes one wonder:think

Right but would Haye ever prove that? no.

Adamek has more balls and that is something to be proud of.

Haye vs Grant "he was too tall and it was really hard"

Haye vs Arreola "why would I fight him when I only want to fight Vitali?

Haye is the diva of boxing.

Good stuff. They should send a memo about 'prospects fighting eachother' to Deontay Wilder.

Glazkov is a much better fighter, but will the judging be on the up and up?

I don't like Haye at all. Tomasz is five times the warrior Haye is and more deserving of respect on the basis of the Briggs wars and his subsequent battles at 175 and 200. Doesn't change the fact that Haye retained more of his ability moving up, is the better heavyweight, and would school & stop Adamek at the weight. (whereas, had they met at CW...man, talk about missed opportunities...)

And yes, it's brave in a way to make the leap up to the big boys' table with a functional 25-50+lb difference in opponent sizes from just a few years earlier. Valiantly defying the odds and trying to hack it punching above his weight is brave - but also folly. He had a really great thing going at cruiser and deprived himself and us of a lot of memorable battles to enhance his legacy. Let's not mince words - brave as it was, his "decent heavyweight career" hasn't exactly been the riveting tour de force that were his campaigns in the next two divisions down. There was drama against Arreola and Walker, sure, primarily because of Adamek's non-HW chin. (which was damn near iron at LHW and CW). Sticking your hand into an open flame for a second and getting burned for no reason with no hope of possible gain doesn't get you brownie points for bravery. That's just sheer stupidity. Not only no world title, but it's largely been boring? Yeah, failed experiment. Nothing to show for it except $$$. He could really have been an ATG cruiserweight with a retrospective career set DVD full of classics. Instead he sacrificed his chance at greatness and the fans' chance at being the most entertained to cash in.

Stupidity, hubris and greed as much as bravery.

I'll be rooting for Tor Hammer of course and think he can win this, but this is gonna be a tough fight for him. Wish it was 10 rounds too.

    That it's 8 benefits Tor.

Glazkov has gone ten hard, and thrice been past six (against a higher class than Hamer's been in with, given Johnson's lack of effort against him). Hamer has eclipsed six once.

He needs to ease in to the longer and more grueling bouts. As someone else stated earlier, his stamina is as best a question mark and at worst an implosion waiting to happen.

Yeah, I agree it benefits him. I just meant I'd rather watch 10 rounds of these two go at it!

if you believe than only boxers who can beat klitschko are not waste of time then maybe boxing is not for you...its not many left for you to watch
and its not "everybody's waste of time"certainly not for unbiased boxing fans who enjoy world class boxing and entertainment-he is not.
i can even enjoy julius long fights if there are entertaining...and every fighter, even arreola has its place in boxing.....

Out of curiosity, why do you quesiton Hamer's stamina, other than that it's unproven? I've never seen him slow down, and he did fight 7 hard rounds (albeit not in a row) at Prizefighter. I just haven't seen anything in him to indicate that he fades late.

I suspect Glazkov will win (less holes in his defense and straighter punches), but it's an interesting fight at least. Neither guy has faced an opponent of that class yet (or at least I don't think so), and neither guy has faced someone with the other guy's style yet. I could see Hamer's unorthodox style giving Glazkov some problems, as it's probably hard for him to find sparring partners near heavyweight who move their feet and upper body like he does.

    Just the unknown factor.

It also isn't something you just transition into overnight, however prepared. You can spar 30 frames in the gym, but going 12 or even 10 in actual pro bout conditions when you've never been past eight is probably a rude awakening.

Boxers are typically plotted along a "stepped up" path from 4-6-8-10-12 for a reason.
