Toro Moreno has never received his due as a heavyweight contender, owing to allegations that he was involved in a large number of fixed fights. It must be noted that those making these allegations have not been able to put forward any tangible evidence to substantiate this claim. The onus is ultimately upon those making an allegation to prove it. Moreno does hold a knockout win over the former lineal heavyweight champion Gus Dundee. This is a tangible win, and we have to take him seriously as a contender based on this.
