toronto host a heavyweight title fight?

    i see no reason why not toronto is a big world class city that has many venues that are capable of hosting such a big extravaganza i dont know why the promoters seem to shy away from this megacity that has hosted titlefights in the past:think

    they are but look at how montreal has developed over the last 20 years. now it's a legitimate venue on the world stage

    Well we got a UFC fight so who knows. The one thing all the venues look at is the gambling spin off. For a couple of reasons, one of which is that anyone who bets significant money on the fight is going to watch it, you multiply that by a whole bunch of people and you've got both guaranteed revenues and a lot of buzz.

    Vegas wins by quite a bit in that regard, but I don't know about Toronto but the gambling hotels in Vancouver have quadripled in numbers over the last few years, and they're going to build another massive one next to the newly constructed B.C. place sometime next year.
