HA are you serious?? Did you forget Hatton got TKOd by the Mayweather. Yes the Mayweather that hadnt knocked anyone out in over 2 years. Maybe three. Please dont compare Hatton to Cotto.
    You look like an idiot.

Cotto was rocked a number of times at 140, infact many wondered if he could step up to welter with a suspect chin

    It's called weight draining

Calling out another fighter is what makes boxing a show and not a sport. And the fact that this is the way it was always done doesn't make it less of a show. Boxing was always a show then.

What I would like to see is just one national ranking body in each country, and every single fight to be a mandatory defense of a position in rankings. Then there would be no point to excercise in blasphemy. You want your shot, go and earn it.

    Bingo :)

Didn't you get the memo? Hatton is a marquee fighter now (in terms of profile anyway). And marquee fighters simply don't do bad risk/reward ratios.

    Exactly.

All these fighters are saying i'm the man, i'm the man etc etc.......

So why the hell are they constantly calling out Hatton, if he is so ****??

Reminds me of when Carl Lewis and Leroy Burrell were calling out Linford Christie all those years ago. Between 92 & 95, Linford smoked the lot of 'em.

    Expect the same here.

what;s all this stuff about Hatton having a strong chin.
Hr got parked by PBF, rocked bad against Phillips and powder puff Collazo and hury and decked more than once against Magee. Mickey Vann saved his ass in the 3rd.

Torres can punch, and if he landed clean Hatton would probably be down again.

No, of course not but what if Torres gets a big punch on Hatton would he take it?

because they want a shot at the champ, the chance to prove that they are infact the main man of the division. it's how boxing works.

    Powder-puff Collazo? Hardly.

Hatton has a good chin at light-welter. Not excellent, but good. And what he's especially good at is taking away the leverage from his opponent to prevent him being able to land flush power shots.

Probably not without being badly hurt. But he won't, so it's irrelevant. He'd smother Torres and Torres isn't tactically savvy enough to do much about it.

honestly.. to keep it real with you... i'd put my money on Torres KO... if hatton tries to bang with a guy like ricardo, it wont look good for him

I don't think Hatton will beat Torres.

It's a bad style matchup for Hatton.

I'm going to use Urango as an example. When Hatton went against Urango, a guy that could bang harder than Hatton, Hatton was forced to box.

Lucky for Hatton, Urango had little skill and stamina to go along with his hard hitting hands and toughness.

I'm not sure that Hatton will be able to outbox Torres and he's going to have a hard time going right at him.

If Hatton beats Torres though, it will be a very respectable win.

True. But then he can do what he did against Ben Tackie or Kostya Tszyu.

The difference is, Urango was a beast of a light welter. He was physically much stronger than Torres, and Hatton's wrestling/inside fighting was not as effective

Hatton would smother Torres, and he wouldn't be able to get any power in his shots

Besides, Torres has fought cab drivers, Hatton has the experience of fighting Mayweather

    Easy Hatton win
