for Cotto's sake he better. If holt wins this fight then his cries about Cotto ducking him and his people knowing that he would have been Cotto's toughest fight will start to seem more true. however Cotto fighting Judah and now Shane has keep cotto from being bashed.
Tough fight to pick you have to agree though that Torres is fighting this fight in Columbia so Holt will need a KO to win the fight. Do you think Holt is good enough to get the KO over there. Im leaning towards Torres because Holt can be caught bad sometimes i still have vivid memories of the Thomas Davis fight.
Off topic, and I may be completely off base, but have you just recently watched Man on Fire? What you just said reminded me a lot of a line Christopher Walken makes about Denzel's character in the movie... But anyway, back on topic....
Agreed. Why would Cotto duck Holt to go up and take on Judah and Mosley? Pretty dumb move as far as easy fights are concerned. Anyway, I am picking Holt to outbox Torres. Torres was a bad match up for Cotto style wise, and Cotto fought a bad fight to top it all off. He has power, and Holt is slighty chinny, but I don't think it should be a factor.
If Holt doesn't get caught with anything big and he really outboxes Torres for about nine out of the twelve rounds, then he will win. He's obviously the better boxer and has major stylistic advantages, but his chin is horrible and he is in a match with 3 Columbian judges. I predict that Holt will get knocked down once or twice, but outbox Torres for 12 rounds and lose because of a semi-robbery decision.
