I just watched the highlight given in my top 3 fights of all time thread, and I can't believe what I just saw. That was one hell of a fight. admittedly, I should have saw the fight much earlier, but how is this not talked about more? Multiple knockdowns, heavy shots landing in every round, very competitive, dramatic climax. This was an all time great, wasn't it? Any thoughts?
yeah, this was definitely a great fight. im not sure why its not talked about more, but maybe because it happened the same year as the 1st corrales-castillo fight.
That explains it. I would argue that during any other year, Torres vs Cotto would be a front runner for Fight of the year. Unbelievable action fight.
I Was Watching That Fight Live And I Swore "cotto's 0 Was Erasing" As I Watched...but He Prevailed In An Awesome Fight...cintron Vs. Estrada Was A Good Fight...not Great But Good Action
co-sign that **** was one heavy ass battle....first fight i ever saw of Torres, i thought he had him for a while but Cotto showed alot of heart, as did Torres i'd say it's my top 5 fights of all time too, Cotto should really think Torres for being the late substitute for that fight, because i think it really made him into who he his today....after taking shots from Torres, shots from Judah and Mosley must of felt like pillows in comparison but yeah, great fights make great fighters....but ****, they should of had a rematch, it would of been a war
Absolutely. It was a great fight, kept me on my toes throughout! I remember watching it and I kept mumbling things like "no, no!!! stay up!! hold him!!!" when Cotto was rocked by Torres... I actually felt relieved when finally Miguel landed those finishing shots! What a battle it was.
out of topic, do you have a bigger copy of your avatar photo?:yep i like both guys, and thought that was a great fight. torres makes for some exciting fights (bar arnoutis) with his kill or be killed style. cotto's style really complemented his, to make this memorable. really looking forward to his third fight with holt. if he remains fresh, i'd favor him over a shopworn hatton.
I would have no idea why. It was an amazing fight. Either one of the two was either dropped or hurt in the majority of the rounds.
