torres vs Cotto - What a battle!

Yeah, the first round was pretty nasty.

 

It was a war. It's ironic a thread was made because I just watched it again for the first time in quite a while last night. Torres has got some serious pop.

 

Reminds me a lot of myself on that night screaming at the television, with my cousin looking at me like I was crazy.

 

This was a great fight! Torres really hurt Cotto. But when Cotto recoverd he started to work the body and it was the end of Torres. We have to give this guy respect he was great power on those punches.

I was at this fight and I'm a Cotto fan.

I was hoping for an entertaining fight but I didn't want this kind of life and death struggle. Early on it looked like Cotto ws gonna blast out Torres early....until the 2nd round.

In the end, I thought I was gonna have a heart attack on a few different occasions and I had to calm myself down. Seriously.

One of my 10 favorite fights of all time.

 

This fight made me the huge Cotto fan that I am today! I wasn't too thrilled with him at first, and the Corely fight definitely left a bad taste in my mouth since it was such a quick (hometown) stoppage. Against Abdulaev I thought "Not bad". Then the fight with Torres was just awesome!

Why wouldn't you be? He's nasty.

 

I put it up after his loss to Margarito and so many people were talking **** about him. I guess its a little outdated.
