I like both fighters. Vianello is a bit underrated. I thought he deserved a close decision win over Ajagba. He was ahead on all three scorecards for his other loss, when he was cut over an eye for the TKO loss. He'll give Torrez a very tough fight, possibly even win.
Maybe people havent heard too much about Vianello but i am surprised by this poll. He is a solid fighter and would give a few fighters in the lower top 10 a decent night's work. He is durable. He was in Parkers camp recently which I don't think is an insignificant factor. Fair play to Torrez for taking this on but I don't like this fight for him.
i didnt realize chop chop was on the card. saw him for first time in his last fight and was amazed at how polished he looked with less than a dozen fights. in this video he mentions how in roberts gym he gets to spar against all styles with very good fighters. makes sense now why he looks that far along.
Yeah I forgot to consider that when I picked Vianello by decision, this fight definitely has the makings of a robbery, an American prospect, fighting in America with American judges and ref with strong management vs a relatively unknown European without strong management backing them. I wouldn't be surpised if it goes to Torrez despite Vianello looking like the better fighter on the night.
If Torrez looks impressive enough against Vianello - he should defo be getting more hype than Itauma if not at least just as much already. We'll learn a lot more about Torrez tonight. A big difference between a good journeyman in McKean and a mid gatekeeper in his prime in Vianello.
