But I didn't do that to tally my numbers and to me that's what counts. I followed strict rules of objectivity and made sure that biased commentator opinions didn't interfere with what was actually happening. If indeed there was a very slight leaning toward cutting slack it wasn't for Canelo-it was for GGG. Still even with the tendency to cut GGG a slight slack whenever a small doubt was involved on whether he had actually connected or not the numbers came out as I reported them.
Good to know. However, the biased commentators heavily favored Alvarez for the majority of the fight until they realized there would be no defending their bias based on how the fight was actually playing out. I saw a decent vid of a fan tallying up the actual numbers and compu box was off by a bit. They had 181 total punches landed for GGG and 82 or 83 landing for Alvarez. I think Alavarez landed at least 100 to 105 punches based on the video but they said many of his body shots were blocked. It was very accurate with what landed for GGG. I think it was a lot more accurate than the punch stats from compu box on the night of the fight
Those are biased scores. Mine are not. BTW Occasionally the ones who attack Canelo on this forum have openly admitted that they are motivated an by intense and almost unbearable envy or hatred for Canelo. That kind of intense emotion seriously interferes with a fair-assessment faculties. It is the mental condition which justified all the WW II atrocities during the Nuremburg Trials. It cannot be trusted.
It is so obvious that compubox numbers are BS. You only have to watch at gg's accuracy... 32% LOL! 32%, my azz. He was lucky if his accuracy was 20%, he missed like no tomorrow, I havent seen a guy missing so much in years, and look at those compubox numbers, they are laughable.
I was thinking the same thing, why does Mayweather get credit for defense on slipping and riding on the ropes and Canelo doesn't??? Could it be that the stereotype of Mayweather is that he's going to play that kind of defense on the ropes and whether the punches get there or not, judges are inclined to lean that they didn't when they don't have a clear view of the happenings? With Canelo a judge might assume he isn't supposed to be that slippery, that he's a typical Mexican plodder with slow feet and he couldn't be possibly be slipping what Golovkin is dishing out??? I guarantee you one thing, if that had been Mayweather turning in the exact same performance Canelo did, the judges would have awared Mayweather a UD down the line. Every single one of those judges would have assumed that whatever they didn't see clearly, Mayweather slipped.
What did OP do to deserve getting banned? We all know compubox is full of crap especially in recent years. He doesn't seem to be trolling or throwing off any vibes full of animosity at all.
The difference is class. FMJ only gets hit by 20% of punches and he lands more than he gets hit with. That's something Canelo needs to learn if he wants to impersonate FMJ's style in future bouts.
I was actually more impressed with Canelo's defense than I ever was any of Mayweather's performances, simply because Canelo fought back with power and torque in his counters, where as Mayweather just makes you miss and just counters with taps and occasionally a pot shot here and there to give the appearance he's doing work. Canelo was making Golovkin miss and when on the offense, was offering and landing in combination, something Mayweather rarely does. ......and what type of class are you talking bout when talking Mayweather? The type of class that has him clinching and holding Pacquiao every 15 to 20 seconds???? Take a relook at Canelo-Golovkin, there was more clinching in just one round of Mayweather-Pacquiao than there was in the whole fight with Canelo-Golovkin. That my friend is whats called pugilism in its purest form!!!! CLASS!!!!!!
Mayweather's defence is 100x better than Canelo's in every single way. The game is dodge, hit and move. Not get hit with 3 jabs, counter with 1 and get hit with a few more jabs as Canelo was doing.
