I really doubt that. The shittiest ghettos of America in cities like Baltimore, Richmond, Camden, Oakland, Gary, Flint, Detroit, Chicago, etc....are as bad as the rough parts of other, poorer countries? Cities like Rio De Janiero, Cape Town, Bogota, Medellin, etc?...Or places where you live in a real war zone with planes bombing over you? I don't think so. For instance, in the early 90s, Medellin had a murder rate more than ten times that of Chicago. And Chicago is one of the more crime-ridden and segregated (both ethnically and class-wise) big cities in America. Still, "ghettos are the same everywhere, THEY SUCK" This content is protected ****ing a girl with the clap may be better than ****ing a one-legged girl with AIDS, but they're both still bad.
i got people in gary and my girl from the d.ive been to noleans and cali and from cincinnati. every ghetto i been to was **** hole, but as far as the worst place to live on the earth would have to be somewere in africa were the genocide takes place.hotel rawanda type ****.im good on that that style of liveing or over in the mid east.thats ****ed up to but im just speaking on citys i know about personally. i know about baltimore well heard about it, and little rock.**** we could name city after city in america, that was my whole point.
yeah hes only talking about what he went through, which for some people would be hell and to others a cake walk.all depends on the person listening to his story.
You forget Hopkins is a step backwards in human evolutionary terms. He's one of those people that makes the bed he lies in then complains it's uncomfortable - that's the absolute worst type of human being. I don't want to veer off the subject too much but you've touched upon a larger issue too, his mindset holds him back and its also a terrible mindset to promote to black youth in America being the hero he is looked up to be but that's the culture and mindset that is promoted over there and how it's marketed and sold; just look at many rappers, quite a few weren't quite born in ghetto yet are happy to lie about being so all will market their material as such. That **** needs to stop and the only people who can do that are the people pushing that stereotype.... I for one will be rooting for my man and look forwards to seeing Hopkins put on his ass and humbled; he needs it. Anyways back on topic great post! :thumbsup
Why all this, " You live there?, that ain't so bad.. Let me tell you about bad." Reminds me of older generations saying, "You've got it easy, when I was your age, I'd get up @ 4:00AM to milk the cows, @ 5:30 AM I'd chop wood. After that I'd walk 5 miles in the snow to get to my unheated 1 room school house. " What a bunch of CRAP. If somone on here say they live in a bad place and bad **** happens around them, and sometimes to them, just accept their situation. My good friend, a man doing great things in life, lost his only 2 children in a head on collision, forever changing his life in a split second. The pain he and his wife went/and are still going through is about as bad as anything I can imagine.
Exactly....yes there are some injustices like the fact that America is the richest country in the world yet people do not have free health care (but at least there are such things as hospitals, police, schools, garbaje trucks etc..) but acting like a selfish arrogant thief/gang banger/drug dealer is not going to solve any of these problems.....there is no need to try and justify the unjustifiable...if you want to change things then pull up your pants, do well in school (b/c anyone can get a grant to go to university for free like me) stop complaining and acting like a ungrateful 'wanksta' is the bottom line....... but by the way there is no way that the poorer parts of America can compare to any third world country if you want to try and argue this you are just fighting an uphill battle of reality........e.g. i was in a conversation w/ one America and the first day i met him he started going off about how hard his hood in INdianapolis was this and that and how he doesnt play and blah blah blah in front of a few brothers from GAZA who have never once talked about their 'hood' in such a ridicoulous way in their life...... ANyways unfortunately this is going to be my last post in this forum b/c of all the nudity and crap thats on here.....
i just hope that you won't brand us infidels because of this. well you are certainly right on the hardships of what it is to live in a third world.
I’m not interested in Hopkins' excuses for being a violent criminal. The vast majority of the world’s population would be extremely grateful to be given the opportunities he has been presented in life. Absolutely pathetic.
Lol I've enjoyed this thread. A "my neighbourhoods rougher than yours" pissing contest. I especially like those who have stated they themselves live in 'the hood' yet theyre surfing the net. I'm sure the poorer fighters from Africa and South America chilled out and posted on ESB while they were growing up in 'the hood' too.
