George Kambosos Jr "looked like" (at least to me) as though he was controlling the ring and controlling the action with good ring generalship in his July 22nd 2023 fight. But when you look at the numbers, Maximus Hughes was ahead on most stats.

For example: Hughes was 98 of 338, 29% in total punches compared to 90 of 471, 19% for Kambosos.

Who truly won?

(i wouldn't have argued a draw... and one of the judges saw it that way). Mark Kriegel had Hughes winning.

Were the powers-that-be trying to keep the 3-to-1-underdog Hughes out of contention so they could set up the bigger-money fights in the future of Kambosos?

Hughes looked like he win the fight, the numbers also say he won the fight.

Scorecards were a disgrace, sickening and was prob Hughes one and only shot given his age. Pure utter corrputness and one of the reasons why boxing can be (by miles) the worst sport in the world

Anybody claiming Devin is a warrior that doesn't care about money for taking the 75-25 (?) against Kambosos to fight him is a silly billy. It was free belts. Getting in there for free would be a fair price.
