Hatton turned Floyd down at 140:deal
stop it with that Cortez shi.t.
not every ref is going to let Hatton foul and hold all night like Dave parris.

Well done for making probably the dumbest comment I've read here.

Nah, Guerrero was clearly trying to win too, he just wasn't good enough. You could just see that" I want to hurt this guy" look in his eyes and you can't fake that. Also, Mosley deserves an honorable mention for that second round, though I agree that he went into a shell after Floyd started timing him.

    Definitely Hatton.
He actually made FMJ look uncomfortable a lot of times and it's one of those fights where FMJ himself was using every trick he has up his sleeve (elbows, ducking low, etc.) to keep Hatton at bay.

On the other hand Floyd looked to be in absolute control against Canelo.

Which is why the Hatton win is one of the more impressive wins of Floyd.

Up to the last two rounds I thought Hatton was giving Mayweather all he could handle. Hatton at least had the right gameplan to combat Mayweather. At 147 lbs though it turned out Mayweather was as strong or stronger than Hatton that he could outwrestle him in the clinches.
Canelo needed to do some of that but did'nt.

For me, for as long as it lasted, Hatton kept Mayweather more on the alert and thus gave him the tougher fight.

Two things you have to consider.

Did Canelo make PBF adjust? No. Did Hatton? Most certainly. And it took the American half the fight to do so and was not easy.

Second, if you are using the KO thing thats because of A. Hatton's style (going out on his sword so to speak) and the fact that was probably the last fight you will see him proper stop an opponent. Injuries to his hand etc. have pretty much ended his stoppage rate.

Hatton was a very hard fight for PBF I would argue it was his hardest since ODL.

Hatton. He really gave Mayweather hell in there and forced him to work/adjust to win.
