This has nothing to do with titles, it's about how hard it is to beat the guy IN THE RING. As somewhat expected (but I had hoped not), you are talking about NAMES again and titles.

    Ducked by who?

The welterweight division had a unified champion since 2001. DLH/Mosley/Forrest/Mayorga/Spinks/Judah/Baldomir/Mayweather.

So you're going to tell me that the ENTIRE division was ducking Margarito?, if so then this is guiness book material right there, why isn't it in any of the editions since 2001?

You think I'm an idiot that doesn't know the sport to give me a pathetic one-liner like that?, if you think he was ducked show me the proof, how did DLH/Mosley/Forrest/Mayorga/Spinks and Judah duck him please?

The reality here is painful, Margarito was an unknown feasting on unknowns, he had absolutely NOTHING worth mentioning in his record, even his WBO title was a paper title won by fighting someone for the vacant title, he didn't even beat a champion for it and when there is a unified champion in the division already then it's a paper title immediately. In addition, he's also a guy who had 4(now 5) losses with zero avenged and his biggest wins were; Andrew "Six Heads Zero Chins" Lewis, Manuel Gomez and Kermit Cintron. If Andrew Lewis and Manuel Gomez found the "courage" to fight him then surely they're ATG material too, right?

But, But Baldimor was the linear champion at the time:roll: Get ****ing real, Margarito has been waiting for one of the "Superstars" to give him his shot, None of them wanted it, DLH said No, FLoyd said hell no, Mosley finally got his balls back from his wife for Xmas this year, but at the time its hard to prove your worth when everybody thats out there to fight and beat, does not want to fight you.

Baldimor was garbage, everybody knew he would lose that title, he was not skilled enough to reign very long, no speed no boxing skills no power, low work rate, he was a sitting duck who happend to beat Judah for the titles.

Margarito is the best Welter Weight today, live with it, by the time he is done he will prove who the man really was in this divison. he has already proven several times that Floyd is scared to death of him, proof is in turning down 8 million, proof is in having Margarito escorted away from the "public press conference" proof is in Floyds sudden retirement just days before Margarito fought and beat Cotto, why? simple Floyd didnt want to hear his own fans and the Media ask him about a fight with Margarito.

:patsch ******, there's no spinning by me. YOU Are the one actually spinning this question by using Gatti for some reason. ****in dolt.

This is simply about two guys, and which one would be tougher to beat. that seems to have gone over your simpleminded head.

The title said "more impressive" then your first post in the thread said "tougher", might want to be more clear there Lance.

Margarito was an unknown, a few Mayweather haters(former Vivian Harris lovers) jumped all over Margarito's balls as soon as Mayweather was rumored to move up from 140. Taking them serious was out of the question especially after all the "tougher" talks that surrounded Vivian Harris which quickly drowned overnight as he met Carlos Maussa.

These things require proof in the ring and back then we had no proof. Unless you consider Manuel Gomez, Andrew Lewis and Kermit Cintron as good enough proof the logical fans don't.

Beating Margo now would add more than a Baldomir win but not when Margo was coming off the Gomez win.

Look at your thread title. ****ing idiot.

    More impressive win.

Right now, beating Margo is the more impressive win, you are trying to spin it make it seem like beating Margo after he beat Gomez would make him a a better win than over Baldomir which he was not at that point.

Read what you type you ****ing ******.

Beating Margarito would always be more impressive and add more to PBF's legacy by far.

Baldomir beat Judah and Gatti, then he lost his next fight, losing 3 of his last 4 fights, he has dissapeared from the face of the Earth. A tomato can, a journey man, what he was before beating Judah.

Margarito since has beat Kyvelos, Lujan, Johnson, Clottey, Cintron X2, Cotto, in the process of becoming a star and world champion over again.

Who was a better win? Margarito by far.

Like I said, now it is but not at the moment Lance is really talking about.

Plus the idiot is asking two questions in one topic.

Since when does "known or unknown" make a win more impressive or difficult to beat? The fighter IS THE SAME whether 1 person knows him or 2 million. I don't see why you can't just take that and go with it w/o trying to add these caveats.

Beating a HUGE underdog is not impressive, even if he had a belt Scar.

As if Margarito wouldn't have steamrolled through Gatti and Baldomir. I would even have bet that Margarito would have beaten both on the same night.

Margarito has always been a better fighter than Baldomir, always.

Bladomir was a C level, B- level fighter at best. He got lucky and picked up some alphabet belts against guess who? JUDAH.

Tell me, for real, true, die hard boxing fans, who is the better win, a Tomato Can like Baldomir, or a dominating Warrior like Margarito?
