Beating Baldomir when Floyd did added more at the time than he would of gained had he fought Margo.

As a true, die hard, boxing fanatic, alphabet titles don't sway my common sense.

I have always, always known Mragarito was a better fighter than Baldomir.

So because I have always known that, then as a true, die hard boxing fanatic, beating Margarito would be a hell of a lot more impressive than Baldomir, the journey man.

 

Only to casual fans, but to real die hard boxing fans, we knew who Antonio Margarito was.

 

if floyd had fought and beaten margarito back then, it would look very impressive now considering how margarito beat cotto. this is how your stock rises even without fighting. another example is calzaghe's stock goes up when bhop schooled pavlik.

 

We all knew who Margarito was far before Baldomir came along, there just wasn't much substance behind beating him back in 06. He beat Antonio Diaz in 02, TKO'd Six Heads, headlined a HBO card against Hercules K and fought Santos in Puerto Rico on a Cotto card. Even headlined ESPN's PPV. The casual fan may not have known him but Baldomir hit the jackpot, plain and simple, and he's not around right now. Margarito was and will always be the tougher fight.

 

Margarito is a lot tougher to beat.

I knew who Margo was but I didn't think he was very good and I only started to think of him serious when he fought Clottey.
