I'm having a hard time taking seriously a discussion predicated on Zab Judah's inability to conduct himself like a real fighter and handle business in his own backyard. If he beats Baldomir like he should have, then Baldomir never ends up with all these shots at name fighters as a beltholder, and this question would never be posed by intelligent people. WTF does Baldomir fighting Gatti have to do with Margarito's skills?

He "earned" fights with Gatti and Mayweather, therfore he was a superior fighter to Margarito? Really. Those two statements have absolutely nothing to do with each other. To me, they beg the question first, why Baldomir got the chance at Judah when Margarito didn't, and second, why Mayweather jumped to fight Baldomir when he turned down a then career high payday to fight Margarito. The answer sure the hell isn't that Baldomir was tougher or more impressive. A freak course of events had given him a name and a belt.

Yes Tony was unknown, but with hindsight he was obviously more dangerous than underqualified.

They're two questions judging by the thread title and first post.

More impressive?, based on resumes back then beating Baldomir was definitely worth more and more impressive.

Tougher fight?, back when Baldomir was #1 we saw Baldomir perform at the high level, we didn't really see Margarito perform at the high level. Unless of course, and I have to repeat, Manuel Gomez and Six Heads Zero Chins Lewis are considered high level by a few delusional Mexican fans. Then of course the answer is Baldomir. If it's based on TODAY after Margarito needed two more years to score a loss and his very first major victory then Margarito wins.

This isn't really an easy answer since it clearly involves three guys and the situation back in 2006 which is NOTHING like today and the newbies are easily spotted in this thread as they prove they know nothing about what was going on back then because they weren't even fans back then.

Baldomir became a mando for the WBC while Margo held on to his WBO belt never able to become a mando for a title.

Floyd turned down a career high payday to accept a career high payday with PPV sales and the lineal title.

Are your other 572 posts as STUPID as this one? This has to be one of the most ignorant, laughable, and pathetic posts I have seen in a while. Keep it up, dumbass, you may just get an internet award for posting the most moronic comments on ESB.

Is this a joke?? I don't care how little known Margarito was at the time, he was always, always clearly better than the highly mediocre Baldomir.

Oh yeah, beating an easier of two guys is more impressive to one's career then defeating the tougher challenge BECAUSE a belt is on the line. Yeah, that's why Floyd's reign as WW Champ is SO RESPECTED and admired right? :patsch

The fact that you think this 'fixes' what you said shows more of your ineptitude.

So, Roy Jones win over Ruiz means less because Tarver was the tougher fight?

Or Pacquaios first win over Barrera means less because JMM was a tougher fight?
