That was not a slap,Calzaghe threw a massive left hook which slammed on Eubanks chin.Calzaghe wasn`t always a slappy puncher.Chris Eubank had one of the toughest chins of any fighter but he was fading anyway.
Your getting confused between a great chin and having the HEART to fight. Having a great chin is being able to take punches without getting rocked. Like you said coming back up from a knockdown, you need the HEART to do that. Arturo gatti had a massive heart to fight and a very very good chin (not the best). On the other hand, amir khan has a weak chin but he had a GREAT heart to get backup from the knockdown and continue fighting. Just thought id clarify the difference.
In recent years........ Oliver McCall Antonio Margarito Chris Eubank Bernard Hopkins Shane Mosley Oscar de la Hoya Glen Johnson Vitali Klitschko
Agreed! 15 year career and never was floored or even hurt. He fought world champions and they never hurt him.
That video was not exactly the best example, as they were not exactly massive shots but decent hits. Hopkins has always had a great chin, but Ali could be the best as he relied on it ofen to win fights and tire his opponents.
In that match Lewis also lands a few of those upercuts like the one that KO'd Michael Grant, where he's holding the back of Zeljko's head with his left hand and bombs him with his right.
