I don't think Tapales is going to stand in Inoue's way of becoming undisputed at 122. There are some good stylistic matchups at 126. There are potentially 3 fighters that can trouble Inoue at 126. Luis Alberto Lopez - A Clubber Lang type brawler with a sturdy chin and a come forward style. Brandon Figueroa - A pressure fighter who throws tons of punches. He's going to try to take the fight to Inoue, win or lose. Robeisy Ramirez - Two time gold medal Olympian.
I'd favor Inoue against anyone at 126 but do think there's probably a 15-20% chance he gets knocked out by one of the top guys at that weight class. Specifically, I think to answer your question it's a matter of who can push Inoue backward. Allowing him to stalk on the front foot is a no-no
Ramirez and Figueroa would be a good test for Inoue and most likely very entertaining fights while it last.
Robeisy I think but among the non belt holders I think Otabek can give him problems at least going by the eye test (good amateur pedigree, southpaw, powerful, doesn't get tired etc), the guy also looked massive for 126 vs Thomas Ward He is also s mandatory for Leigh Wood now I believe & if they fight I think he will beat Wood. So this might happen if Inoue cleans up 122 & moves up to 126 by 2025
