I think he was refering to Martinez is in a different weight class to Manny & Floyd not that Manny & Floyd are on different weight classes.

I think Martinez has an easier time with Manny due to his height plus he boxings and moves quite well he is not the typical type of opponent that Manny looks good against!

Against PBF he would have to sell alot to be able to hit him and I think he would get punished alot even if in the end he did get that money shot.

it seems irrational to want Pacquiao who is in all respect a natural lightweight to fight someone like Martinez, when Floyd has fought at 154 before and has the build to fight Sergio at a catch weight (156-157 maybe?)

you really dont think asking Pacquiao to fight Martinez is asking much from a guy who has already pushed his physical attributes to the limit to go up ANOTHER weight? (i dont agree with the 150 marg fight to be a title/middleweight shot but w/e)

Floyd.Im not saying Pac would be easy or that Martinez would beat Manny. At least he would know what to expect,Manny comes to fight and would be prepared to trade, its a better fight for Martinez than someone as elusive as Floyd who would come and try to make him seem flat footed and basic for at least the first 4 rounds.

mayweather and pac is a more sensible fight then for either to fight martinez. that way you wont have the issue of catchwieght complaints from people.

what are you talking about?:huh mayweather only had one fight at 154 and he couldnt even make 154, he came in at 150 and he "claimed' wieghed 149or 148 on fight night, just about the same pac was on fight night for margo.

to make it clear for you, neither pac and mayweather need to be fight ting above ww, which is why mayweather needs to stop ****ing around and sign a fight with pac.

I've not really considered a Mayweather fight. It's hard to imagine how it would play out because neither guy has ever fought anyone like the other. I don't know what would happen.

I do think Pacquiao would beat Martinez though.

i agree i really do, but all of this "pac ducking martinez" talk was getting to me. Even dumb ass James Slater posting a "is pac ducking martinez if..." article on the front page its bull****. why does pac have to make a jump like that to fight the undisputed middleweight champ when floyd just gets a free pass and is naturally bigger

loses to both on points but will definitely have a harder time with Floyd due to Pac's insatiable urge to mix it up with his opponents. Floyd will just dance around him.

    mayweather

I think it's crazy for pac to even fight the guy. pac is a tiny welterweight. he's really a junior welter

you know, thats how some people get after a shocking fight. only an idiot will claim a guy, "who fights at a LOWER WIEGHT CLASS", is ducking a guy who is natuarlly bigger.

even at 147, mayweather and pac are small welterwieghts. fighting marvilla would be a tall task. the more fight is between pac and may.

now if the winner decided to make the jump and take on martinez, then fine.

pac said in an interview upon arriving in the philippines that he will fight one more time and finally retire from boxing. his last fight therefore has to be with mayweather.

i really think that martinez KO2 williams will actually help in making the pac-floyd fight finally happen. floyd has to fight either pac or sergio and he knows this. given only these 2 choices, floyd will most probably pick pac and we will finally have our superfight.

Martinez beats both of them at 154 or above, but because Floyd is a bit bigger than Pac, he would probably fair better against Martinez than Pac would.

i agree. i think, if floyd has any intention of fighting again, that last nights fight might have convinced him to suck it up and just make the pac fight instead of facing an obviously very tough and skilled middleweight.
