TR/HBO very disappointed in Pac-ALgeri PPV numbers

Algeri was a weak opponent. Wasn't interested at all.

Pac still draws well when in against a decent name. He should fight Khan, would draw good numbers.

 

I was planning on watching but not buying. Other things came up so I didn't get a chance to watch it either.

Saw some highlights. It was a straight up sparring session. PAC didn't look remotely bothered by anything Algeri did. Glad I skipped it.

If the numbers did flop hard, good. Anything that lights a fire under TR's ass to make the fight is a great thing. Time for both sides to quit wasting time.

Problem here is fights like this shouldnt be ppv

Now Im part of the problem because I buy these undeserving fights but I love watching live boxing and at the moment I can afford it lol

but fights like these shouldnt be ppv and do flop and hopefully it makes it to the point where less of these occur

 

Why would they have expected it to sell well? It was an awful fight. I bet it does 300k or so. Fat Dan usually can get a number that is close has he said anything?

I said before the fight they will never release the numbers, don't expect that to change

 

No wonder Roach and Manny were bringing up Mayweather and even Khan's names ahead of their fight with an unknown feather fisted guy that's a weight division below the Manny and has only one real victory to speak of. Roach even had to lie saying Manny knocked Khan down multiple times even though in the past he has always maintained they had competitive sparring.
It was simply to get people talking about this cherry picked farce of a fight.

Had this fight been even the slightest bit close Mr.Recycle would have given us Pacquiao vs Algeri II on PPV.
