TR Wants To Put Marquez-Rios For July

So JMM has to earn another shot at Pac? How the hell can people defend that old *******?

 

I think Marquez' age makes this a lot more competitive in favor of Rios... If he has enough left, I think JMM can figure him out and put on a countering clinic, but at this point Rios may be too young, too aggressive, and too hungry.

I'm one that isn't sold on Rios, though... He is tough and can fight, I just think he's gonna have trouble when he is forced to move up in weight...

I could see JMM taking out Rios

id prefer JMM to counter and put on a great display but he probably gets dragged into a Katsidis and Diaz like war

 

This is gonna be like the katsidis fight.. not like baby bull. They fight differently baby bull was about volume in his offensive pressure. Rios is about power and walking you down pressure does not have much speed and Marquez will be able to effectively counter him at will... also Rios is not a fighter who rushes in guns blazing like Diaz did.. because Rios tries and breaks you down first with a jab and straight rights always coming forward ... Acosta did expose that if you counter Rios hard and bring the fight to him Rios does wobble.. and Marquez wont run like Acosta did he will sidestep feint and counter Rios hard with body punches to Rios eventual TKO loss.

I say katsidis because Rios knows he must take out Marquez early and come guns blazing and pray Marquez gets caught goes down and stays down. Because there is to much skill disparity that the size difference wont be enough for Rios to win... Marquez coming in at 145-150... will be a great fight because knowing Rios he is gonna wanna push hard early cause if goes to the end he will be on the ffloor ...Rios is made for Marquez to shine.

Marquez will not age overnight as he is a fighter who always takes care of his body with good nutrition and never partying it up Marquez is all business so if age is catching up to someone it ain't Marquez... the superior skills and ring IQ will see Marquez winning in another defining win for his legacy....

 

idk about this fight. at LW i think marquez can outpoint rios maybe take him out but at LWW rios will be huge for marquez. Acosta had the style and power to beat rios but he gassed out and got kod. Marquez will have to fight a very smart fight and not trade with rios to get the win

jmm does not need to prove himself to get a another shot at pac. i highly disagree with that notion. if there are no significant fights left to be made for pac post bradley, and that is if pac wins too, then jmm is a good fight for him, granted jmm stays in good shape.
