Watson Eubank is at a higher level technically and more back and forth. After the 1st round Benn pretty much dominated McClellan barring the knock down in round 8

Round 11 of Eubank-Watson II is one of best rounds of all time, even if the final seconds of it are tragic. I can't bring myself to watch the 12th round. It's a technical clinic where Watson hardly puts a foot wrong and adapts to his new, aggressive style.

Benn vs McClellan was a great fight, and I don't have some kind of emotional connection to G-man like I do Watson. Benn was in control for most rounds, and there was less toe-to-toe action which is the best part of a great fight IMO. However it was much more dramatic, with Benn on the wrong end of an early KD and onr in the 8th.

I wanted Watson to beat Eubank and Benn to beat McClellan. Was heartbreaking to see what happened to Watson, after being so damn close and then suffer those injuries. I also think to a degree, it changed how Eubank fought. He didn't have many kos after did he?
Bennof course, won the fight in one of the most brutal fights in the UK. Very sad what happened, it's a thin tightrope all boxers walk when they enter the ring.

They were breathtaking fights, you just don't see fights like this since.

Watson-Eubank II was the better technical fight fought at a higher tempo. Benn v McClellan was a street brawl, both loading up continuously, when McClellan tried to box a bit Benn was even more successful with his chin down, ducking under long punches and coming up with hooks; no uppercuts from G-Man. Eubank-Watson II had everything.

I haven't watched Eubank-Watson 2 since the night it happened. I will be watching round 11 soon because it's one of the nominees for greatest 11th round of all time in @Saintpat's awesome thread.

But I'll say Benn-McClellan because at least on the night, I was cheering for the guy who won so my memory of that moment was happier. Plus, after round 1 it seemed improbable that Benn would win.

For me it would be Benn v Mcclennan but I am a massive Benn fan and fully aware of his flaws when he was at his best !

There is this image of Benn running up mount Teidie in Tenerife in the heat (most of you will know it ) and for me this always define Benn but I dont know why:):)
