    im young amateur Boxer.

    yesterday while i was jumping rope i was talking to my trainer.
    we were talking about floyd mayweather vs robert guerrero.

    He said Mayweather will win but then he shook his head and said mayweather is good but he fights guys who are not great fighters.

    i said i dont like the dude myself but he is a beast he then says Pernell Whitaker would have kicked floyds ass.

    I say no I feel floyd won win by UD.

    so who yall got?

    There's threads on this before.

    There's no doubt Whitaker wins 10 times out of 10.

    Whoever says Mayweather would beat Whitaker is seriously insulting boxing.

    Whitaker in a highly competitive but very clear UD. Better jab, better workrate, better on the inside, gets out of the gate much faster. He'd almost certainly sweep the first 4 rounds at least, and then the best Floyd could manage is to maybe go even with Pea across the final 8.

    Whitaker was just better, honestly. Not too many guys you can say that about in regards to Floyd, but Whitaker is definitely one of them.

    Pernell was better, an his skills were put to test against better fighters. Not to dog floyd hes the best today.

    Two of my favorite fighters of all time and its hard to pick. If we go prime for prime at their absolutely best I say Mayweather wins. Hell Roger gave Whitaker a hell of a fight. Take the Mayweather from the Gatti fight or Corrales fight and he wins a UD but I could be wrong.

    Do you now how early the roger fight was in peas career? An roger had trained balls t the wall for that fight. Go watch pete against a prime de la hoya while pea was fading. An go watch floyd fight a shopworn old hoya right after.

    Mayweather is over rated and has not fought any one since he beat DLH. DLH beats mayweather in his prime as does Whitaker.

    I think Mayweather would beat Whitaker. Mayweather already ranks higher than Whitaker P4P of all time.

    Whitaker, Floyd doesn't have fight changing power to trouble Whitaker. Whitaker had demigod speed and reflexes. He would make Floyd look silly in there at 140. If Whitaker had power he would have been the goat.

    Whitaker on points in a competitive fight. He'd make Floyd lead, change levels, give him angles, match his speed, and out-do him with ring generalship.
