It wouldn't surprise me. He came in 3 pounds under the limit for Winky, and that's not the sign of someone who had to put effort in to make weight.

Whatever the story, Pavlik will come in the ring the best part of a stone heavier. :deal

Taylor was like "Casey at the bat"...swinging and hitting air for the most part. Looks like he saw he had Pav hurt, and rushed in with haymakers rather then throwing the right punches. Once Pav was hurt, he should have jabbed and followed with his right. Repeatedly. The way Pav was all stiff legged, repeating a good one-two might have done it.

He gets in the ring heavier for fights at 160 than he did vs. Pops. I think that gives you an idea of the quality of preparation that went into that fight.

Whether I like or dislike Paul Williams has nothing to do with it. I'm stating what I'm seeing from him, and the truth is that he gets sloppy at times in almost everyone of his fights(both on offense and defense). GP has no benchmark, but yet makes bold statments.

I have no problem with that but I can comment on it. See, when someone like me calls Paul sloppy, you get slightly upset and say that they must dislike Williams. I'm just stating my views, just like GP. Does that mean he doesn't like Pavlik, because he's critical?

Let me set you guys straight!!! You guys are biased fans!!! I never ever used the word "thread derailing" and predictions while mental are based on facts and past boxing scenarios because there is nothing else to base them on which equals a hyperthetical fight!!!

If you debate me do your research please cause i like to debate on facts only!!!

By the way! I only put 2 threads up on this site "Should PW fight Bhop to show him that he can do a better job than KP" and the other I can't remember right now but has nothing to do with what Hermit was saying!!

The "facts" are that there are medical reports confirming that Pavlik was pretty ill just a couple of days before fight night, and the "numbers" are that he put on less than half as much overnight as he tends to when weighing in at 160.

I believe you on the medical docs but I still think styles makes fights in the KP vs BHop fight!!

A lot of KP fans says PW cant do to Pavlik what Bhop did but if you remember the PW vs Margarito fight you will see the similarities in how PDub dealt with Margo!!!

Paul put on nearly 18 lbs in that Margarito fight!!!!

I agree that Pavlik/Hopkins is a styles thing. But PW just doesn't have the tools to replicate that. To beat Pavlik, Hopkins needed a lot of unpredictable movement, speed, elite defence and power to get Pavlik's respect. Pdub probably has one of those things, and the rest is stacked heavily against him. He beat Margo by overwhelming him from range. He can't do that against someone who he doesn't dwarf. Williams will do what he always does: walk forward with his hands low, and throw a bunch of arm punches. Trouble is, he's taking on a much bigger, much stronger, much tougher man with solider fundamentals. He'll trade, and get stopped with haste.

True! Bhop has the power to get Pavlik's respect!! but like I said about the Margo fight Paul Williams had a similar game plan with the punch and hold technique that nuetralized Margarito's attack! This was used to great effectiveness against KP!!!

Williams is no Bernard. He couldn't keep margo off of him and was very troubled by Margo's power. Pavlik is gonna eat him up!

They both slugged it out in that fight so for you to say PW couldn't keep him off him I'll say for the first 7 rounds and the 12th Margo couldn't keep PW off him!!
