    Hello Mates,

Well I have been with this trainer for about 4 months and I really think he is a great guy, but it seems he just keeps pushing me off to the side (keeps cancelling my training sessions and doesn't pick up his phone)

I don't know what to do, I am thinking about talking to him face to face and let him know whats going on, but I don't know what to say; any ideas?

Also, do you think working with my trainer once a week is "good" for an ametur boxer?

(I train everyday on my own too)

Lousy training is an occupational hazzard in boxing. Most kids these days have to do a lot of learning by themselves. If you have talent and motiviation and learn from your mistakes, sooner or later somebody will notice you.

You need to have a chat with him about what your goals are and find out what his goals as a trainer are. See if you can work out a schedule where you meet with him once a week and then have him set you up with homework to go work on by yourself for the rest of the week.
