Trainers who never boxed and are overrated

Agreed. I pretty much said something similar.
I think Wylies breakdowns were excellent and showed a lot of insight to the nuances of the sport. This doesn´t mean that he is a good trainer or even helpful.
Freddie Roch sucked as a boxer, made for a fantastic trainer.
Robert Garcia was a world class boxer and made for a great trainer.
Ray Leonard trained Shannon Briggs briefly and then Briggs got KTFO in the 1st round

 

Briggs was never stopped in the 1st.
