What kind of trainers do you all wear..

I got some new balance ones and they dont help much, but i've also had them for a while now, and i think it's time to upgrade.. :)

What the heck is a trainer, I am sure you are not referring to the person that trains fighters?

Yeah my bad, i mean cross-training shoes. Another thing, should i just buy a pair of running shoes or are cross-trainers good for 4-5 days of roadwork, than normal shadowboxing, bagwork, skipping etc. etc.

I also train in the boxing boots. I trained quite awhile before I got a pair, and now that I have them I'll never look back. You can just feel the ground a lot better in boxing boots, seems easier to keep my balance.

For roadwork (or any part of training not boxing specific, like weightraining), any nice pair of cross-trainers or running shoes will do. My best advice is just don't skimp here. It seems that you get what you pay for with running shoes and cross trainers. I've never had a pair of New Balances but I've heard nothing but good things.

There any difference between boxing shoes and wrestling shoes? I wrestled throughout highschool so just used the shoes i already had to train for boxing.

I've used the same pair of $10 wrestling shoes for boxing, that I picked up at a sports store throw-away bin 7 years ago when I started lol. They smell a little but work the same as boxing boots and cost a **** load less.
    There my lucky shoes lol.

what is your intention with your new shoes? running shoes are narrow and have more flex in the sole. cross trainers are wider for lateral movements.
