Basically, i've been training for a month now and haven't really got down a good circuit going on as i'm training in a gym which is mainly for fitness but has a really good boxing area too but no one to advise.

Would appreciate if somebody could give me some advice on a good circuit.

Just a bit of background on what i've been doing in hour sessions, 3/4 times a week.

    30 sit ups
    20 pressups
3 miles running on treadmill (finished in 21 minutes last night)
    shadow boxing
and then varying between heavy bag, speedball, sparring with friend

As I say, i'm a total begginer and i'm mainly doing this to lose weight and enjoy the exercise but boxing is a massive interest to me.

Is there anything i'm missing out on?

    Thanks

Do you want to start boxing properly one day? If that's the case don't bother with the heavy bag and "sparring" with a friend, you don't want to perfect poor technique and have to re-learn everything.

I'm definitely interested in boxing properly one day. I've been to a boxing club in the past so my technique is fairly okay. Just more interested in the fitness side at the moment.

Your training poor form and bad muscle memory. Its pretty pointless using boxing as a tool if you intend to box in the future.

Try mixing the heavy bag with burpees (I'm talking about the burpee with pressup and full star jump).

    For instance, one round =
    30 seconds normal punching
15 seconds all out full speed punching
    15 seconds burpees
    x 3

Do as many rounds as you can and make it harder if its too easy.
