Training around a dead leg?

    Hey guys i was playing football a couple days ago and got kneed in the thigh, i cant run for **** now and can barely walk up the stairs is there any cardio excercises i can do to replace running for the time being? Can i still do boxing i,e hit the heavy bag pads etc?

    Yeah, definitely swimming, but it's something you SHOULD do anyways...Hurt leg or not. Well, if you can stand then I think you should be able to still do boxing. Shoudln't take much to stand in one spot, and hit the bag. I just wouldn't do a whole lot of moving around if it's that bad.

    Anything stressful to the muscle isn't wise as it will only increase recovery time. Anything that gets the circulation going is good as long as it's at a **** intensity. Swimming, a walk, stuff like that.

    The doc says it should clear up in a few days, he says its a severe bruising to the bone.

    id just leave it if its that severe, not point causing any more damage, not much you can do in boxing without your legs, unless you want to lift weights or do a speed bag.
