Why don't you read what Abel said about the spar. Kovalev was levels below GGG in terms of experience and ability at that point. If they sparred again today it would be a different story and Abel concedes this himself.
Heard about this before but you don't know what to believe, Sanchez also told the world that GGG rocked Canelo in sparring as well. Funny how he didn't like to go into too much detail about what happened to GGG when Groves caught him on the chin when training up in big bear. Although in defence of Golovkin, Groves was a stone heavier than his fight night weight so effectively was a cruiser.
I thought golovkin was meant to of been never put down in his life? Groves is a banger though especially in a spar when he's got the safety of a headguard on and bigger gloves I bet he lets his hands go hard.
Why anyone believes this is beyond me, only Sanchez has said this, GGG's trainer. No credible source has verified this.
