I am new to this message board so apologies if this question has been asked before. I was really wondering what exactly a 12 or 8 week training camp consists of for a boxer leading up to a fight? How its broken up and whats involved? Are there rough guides? For example how many weeks does sparing last how many days a week in the gym etc. Is it all day every day? I am sure every training camp differs depending on trainer and fighter so it may be a bit of a stupid question. I have no training or boxing knowledge other than enjoying watching the sport and am always interested in how they get in such excellent shape in what i would consider a small amount of time. Thanks in advance.
You could have asked Billy Nelson how he prepares a world champion like Ricky Burns ..................... However Solaris chased him off here. Good question though. Maybe one of the Pro's will answer, although I think I only see Frankie about these days?
